Distribution of Dry Ration Kits:

Uthishta distributed over 45,000 kg of rice, sourced from the Food Corporation of India, to support families struggling to access basic food supplies during the lockdown.

We also provided 9,000+ dry ration kits to communities in and around Bangalore, including tribal settlements. Each kit included essential items such as dal, sugar, oil, salt, and other non-perishable goods, ensuring families had the necessary supplies to sustain themselves during the lockdown period.

Supporting Farmers

Recognizing the plight of farmers who were unable to sell their produce due to market closures, Uthishta purchased 30,000+ kg of vegetables that had gone unsold. This initiative not only provided essential nutritional support to the public but also offered much-needed financial relief to farmers who were struggling due to low demand.

The vegetables were then distributed to families in need, ensuring that both the agricultural community and the public benefited from this effort.

Provision of Masks and Sanitizers

To support frontline health workers and ensure their safety, Uthishta distributed masks and sanitizers to C.V. Raman General Hospital and Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology. These supplies were crucial in helping medical staff protect themselves while caring for patients.

We also provided personal protective equipment (PPE) to healthcare workers and frontline staff, playing a vital role in their ongoing efforts to combat the virus.

Collaborative Efforts and Medical Support:

Uthishta actively collaborated with other NGOs and government agencies to coordinate and streamline COVID-19 response efforts, ensuring that aid was delivered efficiently to those most in need.

We provided additional medical support by supplying oxygen concentrators and other essential medical supplies, aiding in the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
