Utkarsh- livelihood projects
Protecting the nature and people close to nature is one of our mission done through Utkarsh. We have multiple projects to bring the Tribal population on par with main stream by supporting their livelihood without disturbing the nature. Some of the major projects are
Mission Umbrella – Protecting the Vanavasi’s from torrential rain with tarpaulin sheets across Tribal settlements Karnataka and Kerala Boarder forest areas.
Mission Warmth – Distributing Blankets across Tribal settlements before the winter season
Learning Centers – Three Learning centers towards upliftment of Tribal Women, providing basic trainings on Computers and Tailoring, so that they are not alienated from mainstream. This makes youth and mothers employable to sustain their livelihood and also provide them with knowledge on healthcare and education opportunities.
Plant a Tree – Protecting the environment through tree plantation drives, river rejuvenation projects and initiatives like natural alternatives to plastics.
