Medical help

Handover of contribution towards the treatment of Kumari Vandana Sreekanth.

Vandana (9) hails from Kattapana and she lives with her parents Sreekanth and Sheena. Vandana was born pre term at 30 weeks, by Caesarean section, and she was incubator for about 12 weeks. She in unable walk since her birth, because of club feet deformity and weakness of limbs which was diagnosed when she was two years old. She was first treated in a local hospital in Kattappana, Kerala, and then at Trivandrum Medical College.
In May 2015, she was referred to Amrita Hospital, Kochi, where many diagnostic tests were conducted including MRI scanning etc, and doctors suggested corrective surgery as the way forward. (We are attaching here, the letter from the concerned doctor, which has more details about the same).

The cost of surgery and further procedures is estimated at 3 lakhs. Vandana’s parents , being from a poor background, are finding it difficult to mobilize the funds for the same. Uthishta decided to help the family, we made a contribution towards this. Shri Mohanji handed over the contribution (Rs. 25000) to Sri Saseendran, uncle of Vandana.

Our Inspiration

Swami Vivekananda

"In this world always take the position of the giver. Give everything and look for no returns. Give love, give help, give service, give any little thing you can, but keep out barter. Make no conditions and none will be imposed. Let us give out of our own bounty, just as God gives to us.”
